* 2 pounds of rump steak
* 1 shredded onion or shallot
* 1 package sliced mushrooms, sauteed in butter
* flour, salt and pepper
* pie crust or biscuit dough
Instructions
1. Cut the steak into long, narrow strips and dust with salt and pepper
2. Dredge steak pieces lightly with flour
3. Lay these in the bottom of a baking-dish
4. Pour in enough water to barely cover the meat
5. Add a little more seasoning and a sprinkling of flour
6. Add sauted mushrooms
7. Cover with a crust or dough
8. Baste with butter and slash a couple holes in the crust
9. Bake in a moderate oven for two hours.
