Braised Beef Steak Maroon

Braising liquid
* 1 onion
* 4 ounces tomato paste (or puree)
* 1 3/4 cups beef broth
* 1/4 cup port wine or red wine
* 1 tablespoon soy sauce
* 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
* 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
* 1 teaspoon brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon parsley
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 10 drops Tabasco sauce (optional)
Steaks
* 3 tablespoons olive oil
* 1/4 cup flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
* 4 braising steak
Directions
Put all the ingredients for the braising liquid into a food processor and process until smooth. Leave until ready to use.Heat oil in large skillet.In a shallow dish, mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the steaks in the seasoned flour and fry 2-3 minutes each side.Carefully pour the liquid over the steaks, cover and turn down heat. Simmer for 90 minutes.Remove steaks to serving dish and pour sauce over.Serve and enjoy!
