Ingredients

* 1# round steak cut in quarters
* 1 onion sliced
* 4 Tbs.oil or shortening
* 2 Tbs. flour
* salt and pepper to taste
* 3 cups water

Directions

1. salt and pepper steaks to your liking
2. roll in flour to coat
3. heat oil in skillet , over medium high heat and sear steaks well
4. remove steaks and place in a baking pan
5. put onions over steaks
6. add 2 Tbs. flour to skillet with the left over oil,and cook till lightly browned,add water and stir
7. pour browned mixture over steaks and onions ,cover and bake at 325F. for about 1 hour,or until tender
