Man-Style Spanish Steak

2 lbs chuck or blade steak
instant meat tenderizer
2 tablespoons fat, for searing meat
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 bay leaf
1 green pepper, seeded and sliced
1 1/2 cups canned tomato
1/2 cup dry sherry
Directions
Trim steak, and sprinkle with tenderizer.Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.Sprinkle with soup mix.Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.Cover and bake at 350* for 1 hour or until tender.
