Onion- Stuffed Steak

Ingredients

* 4 6 to 8 oz. boneless beef top loin steaks (3/4 to 1 inch thick)
* 11/2 cups chopped onion
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup butter or margarine
* 1/4 tsp celery salt
* 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
* 1/4 cup merlot ( or any other red wine you would like)
* 2 TBSP soy sauce
* 1 8oz pkg fresh mushrooms, quartered
* 1/4 cup butter or margarine

Directions

1. Slice a pocket in one side of each steak,cutting almost ,but not all the way;to the other side; set aside
2. In large skillet cook the onion&garlic in butter until onions are tender.Stir in the celery salt and pepper. Stuff pockets with onion mixture;skewer closed. Mix wine and soy sauce; brush on steaks.
3. Grill steaks over med. high heat or coals, until desired doneness,turning once halfway through grilling.
4. Meanwhile in large skillet cook mushrooms in remaining 1/4 cup butter until tender. Serve steak with mushrooms.
