Steak Italian Style

* 2 pounds round steak
* 2 tablespoons oil
* 1 cup onion, chopped
* 1 1/2 cups beef broth
* 1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes, diced
* 1/2 teaspoon basil
* 1/2 teaspoon oregano
* 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1 cup creamed (small curd) cottage cheese
* 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
* 3 cups hot cooked rice
Directions
1. Cut steak into 1-inch cubes and saute in oil until brown on all sides. Add onions and cook 3 minutes longer.
2. Stir in 1 cup beef broth, tomatoes and seasonings. Heat to boiling, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until steak is tender.
3. Blend flour into remaining beef broth and stir into meat mixture. Cook until thickened.
4. Stir in cottage cheese. Top with Mozzarella cheese and allow to melt.
5. Serve on beds of rice.
