2 lbs round steak, cut into 1 x 1/2 inch pieces
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 tomato, chopped (or a 14oz can of diced tomato in juice)
1 bell pepper, diced
1 (10 ounce) can green chilies
2 jalapeno, diced
1 (4 ounce) can el pato salsa fresca
1 cup water
4 ounces beer (optional)
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 minced garlic clove
1 dash chili powder
salt & pepper
Directions
Generously salt and pepper the steak pieces and lightly brown in a little bit of oil for 5 minutes in a medium sized pot.Add remaining ingredients.bring to a low boil, cover and let it simmer for 45 minutes.This can also be converted to a crock pot recipe. After browning the meat in a skillet, transfer to a crock pot, add remaining ingredients and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8.
